Can you give up? No. That’s not a viable solution. The only thing you can do is acknowledge where you are and come up with a plan of action.
Today was one of those days for me. A day where I felt like everything was just caving in on me. I am so tired of the lack. Not having enough of this or that. Shuffling this to pay that…Wow!! Continue reading TIRED AND OVERWHELMED!→
“O Captain, my Captain. Who knows where that comes from? Anybody? Not a clue? It’s from a poem by Walt Whitman about Mr. Abraham Lincoln. Now in this class you can either call me Mr. Keating, or if you’re slightly more daring, O Captain my Captain.”
“But for the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
It has been a while since last I blogged. Much has transpired in that time for which I’ve not been able to be here. It was my initial intent to blog 2-3 times a week, but when that became like a chore and not something I was looking forward to doing, I decided not to. The joy of blogging had left me. I allowed outside circumstances to syphon my joy. My dad’s illness, my job (not my passion), my relationships, LIFE in general. So, I QUIT…or so it would seem. Continue reading MY JOY→
There is nothing more sacred than being in that place of PEACE. When you have PEACE, it allows you to be open to receiving and hearing things you might not be able to get when there is chaos looming all around you. We must protect our peace as if it were our most prized possession, because, in fact, it is, as it represents our power. Continue reading WISDOM WEDNESDAY→
Today the world lost an Angel. Her gentleness will forever be missed. As she has shared so much of herself. I remember watching her on Super Soul Sunday with Oprah Winfrey, when she was asked, “What is GOD?” She very simply responded, “‘Everything!’ God is all things and in everything.” Wow! We all want to be a friend or to have friends; but what are we doing to get it.
Proverbs 18:24(NLT) “There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.
I personally had to look at this question myself; and realized that I had more cyber and associates than friends. We as people use this word “FRIEND(s)” so loosely and never take into consideration who’s our true friend(s). Continue reading Wisdom Wednesday→
When was the last time your heart was attacked? What did you do?
Some of us have harden our hearts, because we didn’t guard it. Proverbs 4:23NLT says “above all else guard your heart, for it affects everything you do.” Michael Hyatt states, “Your heart is the most important leadership tool you have. It is not your experience, knowledge, or skills. It is your heart that matters most of all.” Continue reading Wisdom Wednesday→
We meet people everyday, who unbeknownst to themselves makes a huge impact on our lives. It may be as subtle as offering us a good word, a smile, a simple touch. These people I consider to be Angels sent from above. They are there to give us exactly what we need at the time they’re needed most. Continue reading Role Models→
Have you ever had to choose between yourself and somebody else? This act is probably all so familiar for most parents? We, on a daily basis, may have had to choose between our kids and ourselves. It may be as simple as deciding if we can wait to buy a new pair of badly needed shoes and giving our kids some money to join their friends in an activity. Who will win out? Especially, when you’re hearing the ol’ “…but, everybody is going to be there!” whine. We, of course, want to give our kids everything, just like our Father.
