It has been a while since I have been on here to share some wisdom. While in my moment of absence, I have come to understand some things:
1.)We have to be careful of what we allow to distract us from what we’re suppose to be doing. If you don’t stay balanced, your life can become like a “Teeter Totter”. 1 Peter 5:8 AMP says “Be well-balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for the enemy of yours, the devil roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.”
If we allow distractions to get us off balanced the enemy can devour us.
What can get you off-balance? People, work, procrastination, and time. We have to be cautious not to allow these things to get in our way.
2.) Learn to be still and listen to God. Proverbs 2:1-5 NLT says “My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.”
Being still and listening to God is having wisdom. Wisdom starting point is God and then he will reveal his word to you for understanding. Wisdom is a gift that God gives to us when we earnestly seek Him. When we are on the path that Gods wants us on, we’ll discover that true wisdom is God’s and that he will guide us and reward our sincere and persistent search.
So, if you want to know God’s plan for you; you have to be still and listen.
3.) Realize that we all have wisdom. Proverbs 2:6-8 NLT says “For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him.”
Recently Nick Cannon wrote “Intelligence can prove how much you know…Wisdom shows how much you grow.” Growing is when you get out of your way and allow God to have his way. We gain wisdom through constant growth. We must trust and honor God and studying the word so he will reveal his wisdom to us.
I will end this by saying, when we stop allowing distractions to get in our way, learn to be still and listen to God; he will give us wisdom that will show us our purpose that will get us on the “Pathway to Spiritual Rebirth”.
