Guard your heart

When was the last time your heart was attacked? What did you do?

Some of us have harden our hearts, because we didn’t guard it. Proverbs 4:23NLT says “above all else guard your heart, for it affects everything you do.”   Michael Hyatt states, “Your heart is the most important leadership tool you have. It is not your experience, knowledge, or skills. It is your heart that matters most of all.”

However, we tend to open our hearts because we want to trust. We let people in on our thoughts, desires, inner most secrets, and concerns; to have it turned on us, because we trusted. Who would do this to you, a brother, sister, mom, dad, cousin, auntie, and friend. All who you thought loved and cared for you.

How does the heart become harden, because of words. Words are your wand! Words have to be carefully spoken; they can alter a person’s life, views, and heart. Sometimes a person’s words can be a reflection of their heart. Proverbs 27:19 NLT say’s “As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the person.”

What to do to protect the heart? Dwell in the secret place of the Most High. Psalms 91:1NLT “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”

As we walk this labyrinth of life, let’s it lead us to a Pathway of Spiritual Rebirth.
